President Tinubu Seeks Senate Nod for N1.7trillion FCT 2025 Budget
President Bola Tinubu has submitted the 2025 Appropriation Bill for the Federal Capital Territory to the Senate, proposing a total expenditure of N1.7 trillion. In a letter read by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Tinubu noted that the budget prioritises healthcare, job creation, youth empowerment, education, and agriculture. The President stated that 85 percent of the capital spending will go toward completing ongoing projects, while 15 percent is set aside for new ones. He urged the Senate to give the proposal swift consideration to sustain efforts in delivering key infrastructure and social services in the FCT.
