Plateau Killings: Governor Mutfwang Bans Night Grazing, Restricts Cattle Movement

Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang has condemned the recent coordinated attacks in Bassa and other areas, which left dozens dead and homes destroyed, calling them acts of terror aimed at displacing residents. In response, he announced new security measures including bans on night grazing, cattle transport after 7 p.m., and motorcycle use at night. He also initiated community-based vigilance systems, engagement with stakeholders through the Inter-Religious Council, and the appointment of a Special Envoy on Peace.
