Patigi Regatta Motel Reconstruction to Create Jobs, Claims Development Officer

The reconstruction of Patigi Regatta Motel in Patigi Local Government, Kwara State, is set to generate significant job opportunities once completed, according to the Development Officer of the area, Hon. Fatimah Asabe Jiyah.
Hon. Jiyah made this statement during her visit to the construction site, where she assessed the progress of the ongoing work.
She highlighted the project as one of many initiatives undertaken by the administration of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to boost development within the local government.
“The reconstruction of the Patigi Regatta Motel is one of the numerous projects being carried out by the Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq-led administration in our local government,” Hon. Jiyah said.
“Once completed, the project will not only provide improved facilities for tourists but also generate job opportunities for the people of Patigi and Kwara State.”
The revamping of the Motel, located along Kpada Road in Patigi, includes the construction of new structures such as rooms, VIP suites, a conference hall, shops, and other facilities.
The modernization is part of the state’s broader efforts to expand its tourism and recreational offerings, which is expected to attract more visitors and foster economic growth.
Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s administration aims to increase the state’s revenue generation by improving infrastructure that supports the tourism sector.
The reconstruction of the Patigi Regatta Motel is expected to be a key contributor to this objective, creating both direct and indirect employment opportunities while enhancing the state’s hospitality industry.
Once completed, the improved facility is expected to serve as a major attraction for both local and international tourists, further driving economic growth and community development in Patigi and beyond.
