Oyo Government Begins Integration of NIN and Social Register to Support Vulnerable Citizens
The Oyo State Government has begun integrating the National Social Register (NSR) and National Identification Number (NIN) into the State Social Register (SSR) to better identify vulnerable individuals. In collaboration with the National Social Safety Nets Coordinating Office (NASSCO), a three-day training was organized for local government officers to update the NSR and incorporate NIN data as officials emphasized that this initiative aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and Governor Seyi Makinde’s poverty alleviation efforts, ensuring social interventions reach the right beneficiaries with accuracy and transparency.
