Northern CAN Condemns Killings in Plateau, Urges Swift Security Action
The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in the 19 Northern States and Abuja has condemned the brutal killings in Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State. In a statement released in Kaduna, the Rev. Yakubu Pam-led group described the attacks as senseless and barbaric, warning that such violence threatens the peace and unity of both the state and the country. Northern CAN has called on security agencies to urgently track down the perpetrators and ensure justice is served. The association also appealed to government at all levels to protect vulnerable communities, while urging religious leaders, traditional rulers, and community groups to work together to end the persistent cycle of violence in Plateau State.
