NiMet Predicts Rainy, Thundery Weather Across Nigeria From Monday to Wednesday

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has forecast a series of rainy and thundery weather conditions across the country from Monday to Wednesday, with varying patterns expected in different regions.
In its weather outlook released on Sunday in Abuja, NiMet predicted isolated thunderstorms over parts of Sokoto, Katsina, Kano, Kebbi, Zamfara, Kaduna, Adamawa, and Taraba States in the northern region during the morning hours on Monday.
The forecast also indicates intermittent rains over parts of Niger, Benue, Kogi, Kwara States, and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) during the morning hours. “In the afternoon and evening hours, localised rains are envisaged over parts of the FCT, Plateau, Niger, and Nasarawa States,” NiMet stated.
The agency also anticipates isolated rains in parts of Ebonyi, Enugu, Abia, Imo, Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers, and Cross River States in the morning hours on Monday. Later in the day, localised rains are expected in Abia, Ebonyi, Imo, Enugu, Anambra, Ondo, Osun, Oyo, Akwa Ibom, Ogun, Cross River, Rivers, Bayelsa, and Edo States.
On Tuesday, NiMet expects isolated thunderstorms over parts of Borno, Bauchi, Gombe, Adamawa, and Taraba States during the morning hours, with additional thunderstorms anticipated later in the day over Bauchi, Gombe, Kaduna, Yobe, Zamfara, Sokoto, Borno, Taraba, Kebbi, Kano, and Jigawa States.
Rain is also expected over parts of Benue, Kogi, the FCT, and Nasarawa States in the morning, with more isolated rains likely later in the day in the FCT, Plateau, Benue, Kwara, and Nasarawa States. The southern regions, including Edo, Ondo, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Delta, Rivers, and Bayelsa States, should anticipate intermittent rains throughout the day.
For Wednesday, the weather agency forecasts morning thunderstorms over parts of Kebbi, Bauchi, Sokoto, Borno, and Katsina States. In the afternoon and evening, isolated thunderstorms are expected over parts of Kebbi, Katsina, Sokoto, Zamfara, Adamawa, Kano, and Taraba States.
Morning rains are predicted for parts of the Federal Capital Territory and Niger State, with isolated thunderstorms and rain over Nasarawa, Plateau, and Niger States later in the day. Cloudy skies are expected over the southern region during the morning hours, with moderate rains anticipated later in parts of Abia, Ebonyi, Ondo, Imo, Edo, Rivers, Delta, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, and Cross River States.
