Nigeria, South Africa Sign MoU to Strengthen Mining Cooperation

Nigeria and South Africa have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen mining cooperation, focusing on investment, knowledge exchange, and technology transfer. The agreement, signed by Nigeria’s Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dele Alake, and South Africa’s Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy, Gwede Mantashe, aims to enhance the mining industries of both countries through shared expertise. Key areas of the collaboration include capacity building, geological methods, mineral exploration, and processing technologies as the partnership is expected to drive industrialization, job creation, and sustainable economic development across Africa.
