Nigeria Needs $10 Billion Annually for Stable Power Supply, says Minister of Power

The Federal Government, through the Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, has revealed that Nigeria requires $10 billion annually over the next 10 to 20 years to achieve stable electricity. Speaking at the commissioning of solar power plants at the Nigerian Defence Academy in Kaduna, he highlighted the need to address longstanding infrastructure deficits, expand metering coverage, and leverage the Energy Act, which decentralizes power sector operations, allowing states to participate in generation, transmission, and distribution.
