Nigerian Government Pledges Revamp of Grazing Reserves, Water Infrastructure to Boost Pastoral Livelihoods

The Nigerian Government has reaffirmed its commitment to revitalizing grazing reserves and restoring water infrastructure to support rangelands and pastoralist livelihoods across Nigeria. Minister of Livestock Development, Idi Mukhtar Maiha, represented by his Special Assistant, Eustace Iyayi, made this known at the 5th International Conference on Drylands at Bayero University, Kano, noting that insights from the event will shape government policies and sustainable strategies for rangeland management.
