Nigeria Immigration Service Reopens Passport Application Portal After Upgrade

The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has announced the reopening of its passport application portal, now optimized for better service delivery following a system upgrade and maintenance.
In a statement titled “Passport Application Portal Now Back in Optimal Service” and signed by the NIS Public Relations Officer, DCI KT Udo, the agency acknowledged the temporary disruption caused by the upgrade and expressed appreciation for public patience during the period.
“The Nigeria Immigration Service has considered it exigent to inform the public that our online passport application portal is now back in optimal service, following a system upgrade and maintenance,” the statement read.
The NIS apologized for any inconveniences the downtime may have caused and reaffirmed its dedication to delivering quality service to Nigerians at home and abroad.
“While we apologize for any inconvenience the recently concluded system upgrade and maintenance may have caused, we deeply appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.
“The Service also wishes to reiterate our commitment to serving Nigerians across the globe with excellence,” Udo added.
The reopening of the portal is expected to ease passport processing for Nigerians, a crucial service for those needing travel documents. Users are encouraged to visit the NIS portal to resume their applications or access additional information.
