Niger Delta Development Commission Warns Public About Fake Postgraduate Scholarship Scams

May 5, 2025

The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has issued a warning about scammers offering fake postgraduate scholarships, urging the public to be cautious. Seledi Thompson-Wakama, the NDDC Director of Corporate Affairs, confirmed that fraudsters have been sending fraudulent emails from a fake address, promising scholarship placements, and requesting money for a non-existent document verification process. The NDDC clarified that all official communication regarding scholarships is done only through their official website and advised applicants to disregard any unsolicited messages or offers.
