NEMA confirms Six Killed, Several Injured in Abuja Fiery Truck Explosion
The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has confirmed six fatalities from a tanker explosion along the AYA-Karu expressway in Abuja, while the number of injured remains unknown. The crash occurred when a Compressed Natural Gas truck lost control and collided with another truck, igniting a fire that damaged multiple vehicles. Emergency teams, including the Federal Road Safety Corps, Federal Fire Service, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, and the military, collaborated to extinguish the fire, rescue victims, and clear the road as injured individuals were taken to various hospitals for treatment.
