NBBF Announces Replacements for D’Tigers Ahead of AfroBasket Qualifiers

The Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) has named three replacements for unavailable D’Tigers players ahead of the 2025 FIBA AfroBasket Qualifiers 3rd Window in Tripoli, Libya, from February 17-24. Favour Aboje (Nile University), Israel Philip (Nigeria Customs), and Johnson Anaye (Rivers Hoopers) will step in for Michael Okiki, Patrick Abah, and Azeez Sulaimon. Meanwhile, home-based players have begun camp in Abuja, which will run until February 16, before joining the foreign-based players in Libya on February 17 for the final phase of preparations and the tournament.
