National Orientation Agency Commends Oyo Government’s Flood Prevention Efforts.

The National Orientation Agency (NOA) in Oyo State has praised the state government for proactively addressing flood risks by dredging rivers and streams across all 33 local government areas, in line with NIMET’s predictions.
During an interview with Newsmen, State Director Akanbi Aderogba urged residents to avoid practices that cause flooding, such as dumping refuse in waterways, and highlighted the effectiveness of community-specific drainage projects. He also condemned jungle justice, emphasizing the need for due process and the rule of law as he noted visible improvements in public behavior due to the agency’s sensitization efforts, including fewer tanker-related accidents, and encouraged patience with government reforms like fuel subsidy removal while urging the public to participate in the ongoing Democracy Cash Quiz on their official website.
