NANS Gives Ondo Govt 72-Hour Ultimatum Over Detained students

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has issued a 72-hour ultimatum to the Ondo State Government, demanding the immediate and unconditional release of detained student activists, including Comrade Blessing Akeju, who are allegedly being held on politically motivated charges through the actions of the state’s Attorney General, Barr. Kayode Ajulo. The association had accused Barr. Kayode Ajulo of using his office to suppress dissent and silence student voices, calling on Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa to intervene as the student body warned that failure to meet their demands would lead to a nationwide protest starting with #OccupyOndoGovernmentHouse, as they reaffirmed their commitment to defending students’ rights and civil liberties.
