NANS Condemns Alleged Withholding of Student Loans, Threatens Protest
The National Association of Nigerian Students has raised alarm over the alleged non-disbursement of student loans by some universities and banks, despite claims by the Nigerian Education Loan Fund that funds have been released. The Public Relations Officer of The National Association of Nigerian Students, Samson Adeyemi, described the practice as deceptive and a betrayal of students’ trust, warning that it deepens the financial struggles of Nigerian students. He also threatened to mobilize protests and legal action against any institution found guilty of withholding the loans, urging affected students to report such cases to the association.
