Minister of Labour and Employment Calls for Global Unity on Labour, and Equity at ILO Meeting

The Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Muhammad Dingyadi, has called on world leaders to pursue inclusive and equitable workforce development at the 113th International Labour Organisation session in Geneva.
Speaking on the theme “Jobs, Rights and Growth,” he emphasized the need for global collaboration to address challenges threatening shared prosperity, such as job insecurity, child labour, and informal employment. Highlighting Nigeria’s commitment to social justice, he also outlined key reforms under the Renewed Hope Agenda, including the newly approved national minimum wage, efforts to eliminate child labour, and initiatives to integrate informal businesses into the formal economy while reaffirming Nigeria’s alignment with international Labour Organisation goals to build a resilient and productive future.
