Maduka Okoye Undergoes Successful Wrist Surgery
Udinese goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has undergone successful surgery following a wrist injury sustained during a Serie A clash against Genoa last week.
The club confirmed the procedure was conducted by Dr. Loris Pegoli at the La Madonnina clinic in Milan. Okoye, a Nigeria international, will now begin his rehabilitation and is expected to be sidelined for several weeks.
Okoye, 24, became Udinese’s first-choice goalkeeper in the latter half of the 2023/24 season, playing a pivotal role in securing the club’s Serie A survival. This season, he has made 14 league appearances, cementing his position as a key player for the Zebras.
Udinese fans will be hoping for his swift recovery as the team navigates the remainder of the season.
