Lagos Taxpayers Urged to File Annual Returns Before March 31 Deadline
The Lagos State Internal Revenue Service (LIRS) has reminded individual taxpayers, including self-employed individuals and those under the Pay-As-You-Earn scheme, to file their Annual Tax Returns by March 31, 2025, in compliance with the Personal Income Tax Act. LIRS Chairman Ayodele Subair emphasized the importance of timely compliance to avoid penalties, stating that returns must be submitted exclusively via the LIRS eTax portal. The agency has deployed dedicated tax officers to assist taxpayers with online registration and filing to ensure a smooth process.
