Lagos Chapter of Nigerian Medical Association Urges President Tinubu to Reverse Recent Petrol Price Hike.

The Lagos chapter of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) has called on President Bola Tinubu to urgently address the recent increase in petrol prices by reversing the hike to its previous level.
The price of petrol was raised on Tuesday by the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL) to between ₦855 and ₦897 per liter, up from ₦568. This decision has drawn significant criticism from various groups and individuals, many of whom are demanding a return to the old price.
In a statement released on Thursday, the Association, expressed concern over the impact of this price hike on Nigerians, including medical and dental doctors who are already facing severe economic challenges and insecurity.
Furthermore, the association also called for a re-evaluation of the federal government’s economic policies, stressing the importance of focusing on revitalizing local refineries and tackling persistent insecurity
