Kwara State Launches Recruitment for Teaching Positions, Deadline February 14th

The Kwara State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) has opened applications for teaching job vacancies, with the online portal available at http://tescom.kwarastate.gov.ng from midnight on February 5th, 2025, until February 14th, 2025. TESCOM Chairman, Mallam Bello Tauheed Abubakar, advised applicants to review the recruitment guidelines on the portal before applying.
All applicants are advised to read the press statement initially issued on the recruitment process. The statement is on the portal for ease of reference,” the statement said.
“For clarity, persons without a university degree in relevant subject areas should not apply. Holders of NCE who do not have a university degree should not apply.”
The selection process includes a computer-based test (CBT) at centers near applicants’ local government areas, followed by interviews for those who pass. Successful candidates will also undergo drug tests at NDLEA-approved centers and other verification procedures before employment letters are issued.
“This process, for the record, will strongly balance between qualification, competence, employability, and availability to work in the hinterlands/rural areas where we mostly require teachers,” the statement said.
The recruitment aims to ensure a balance between qualification, competence, and availability to work in rural areas where teachers are most needed.
