Kwara State Government Signs MoU to Boost Entrepreneurship, Job Creation

The Kwara State Government, through the Ministry of Business, Innovation, and Technology, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Board for Technology Incubation (NIBT) to drive economic growth, create jobs, and foster entrepreneurship.
The Commissioner for Business, Innovation, and Technology, Hon. Damilola Yusuf Adelodun, emphasized the government’s commitment to supporting startups and innovators, citing investments like the soon-to-be-commissioned Kwara State Information Technology Hub. The Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Mary Kemi Adeoshun, highlighted the focus on capital projects benefiting youths, women, and vulnerable groups.
The NIBT Director General, Engr. Dr. Kazeem Kolawole Raji, commended Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s efforts in fostering a business-friendly environment, noting the NIBT Centre’s role in wealth creation, poverty reduction, and commercializing research outcomes. He acknowledged the state’s support through interventions such as accommodation, infrastructure projects, grants, loans, and participation in trade fairs.
