Kwara State Fire Service Recovers Body of Unidentified Man from Asa River

The Kwara State Fire Service on Tuesday recovered the lifeless body of an unidentified man, believed to be around 45 years old, from the Asa River in Ilorin. The discovery was reported by officials of the Ministry of Environment, who found the body floating and immediately alerted the fire service. According to spokesperson Hassan Hakeem Adekunle, firefighters swiftly arrived at the scene and recovered the corpse, which has since been handed over to the Ministry of Environment for identification. Director of the Fire Service, Prince Falade John Olumuyiwa, used the occasion to call on the public to prioritize safety and warned against sending underage children to fetch water from wells.
