She acknowledged the persistent challenges faced by businesses but expressed confidence that, with continued collaboration with the government, solutions would be found over time.
In addition to discussing ongoing efforts to tackle business hurdles, she announced the upcoming 11th Kwara State Trade Fair, scheduled to take place from December 6 to 16, 2024, in Ilorin.
She highlighted that the trade fair would provide a platform for showcasing the vast resources available across the state’s 16 local government areas. The event aims to boost the state’s commerce and industry while attracting both foreign and local investments. Adeyemi also commended the support of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq’s administration in promoting economic development and assisting the chamber in overcoming challenges.
Abu Salami, the Deputy President of KWACCIMA, further elaborated on the goals of the upcoming trade fair, noting that it would help unlock the investment potential of Kwara State. This year’s theme, “Unlocking the Investment Potential of Kwara State for Sustainable Economic Development,” reflects the fair’s focus on advancing the state’s economy. Salami emphasized that the fair would bring together business organizations, government agencies, educational institutions, and industries of all sizes, both local and international.
The Kwara State Commissioner for Business, Innovation, and Technology, Damilola Yusuf-Adelodun, represented by Ibrahim Salman, also expressed the government’s support for the trade fair. She reiterated the state’s commitment to improving the ease of doing business and ensuring that enterprises flourish.
