Kwara Reaffirms Commitment to Regional Security and Stability
The Kwara State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to addressing emerging security challenges through comprehensive strategies aimed at ensuring regional safety and stability. This was highlighted by Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Mamman Saba Jibril, during a welcome address to the Senior Course 47 delegation from the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji, on a study tour of the state. While Kwara is recognized as one of Nigeria’s most peaceful states, the government acknowledges vulnerabilities to issues like banditry, farmer-herder conflicts, and youth restiveness as the state’s strategy focuses on enhancing community policing, adopting modern surveillance technology, and strengthening collaboration among security agencies.
