Kwara Government Urges Crèche Operators to Register for Better Childcare Standards

March 25, 2025

The Kwara State Government has urged private crèche operators to comply with registration procedures to enhance childcare standards and regulatory oversight. During an inspection in Offa and Ijagbo, Commissioner for Social Development, Dr. Mariam Nnafatima Imam, emphasized the importance of proper registration and record-keeping for effective monitoring and improved care quality. She reaffirmed the government’s commitment to early childhood care, stressing that all facilities must meet required standards to provide a safe environment for children. She also called on unregistered operators to complete their registration to avoid penalties and encouraged parents to choose licensed crèches for better childcare services.
