Kwara Government Targets Job Creation Through Youth Agricultural Empowerment

The Kwara State Ministry of Youth Development plans to train and financially empower young people to drive an agricultural revolution in the state. Shehu Ndanusa, the Commissioner for Youth Development stressed the need to equip youths with agribusiness, rural development, and entrepreneurship skills to create jobs and reduce unemployment. Additionally, the executive director of the Agricultural and Rural Management Training Institute, Dr. Olufemi Oladunni, affirmed the institute’s commitment to training youths, providing starter packs, and ensuring their success as both parties are set to formalize their collaboration through a Memorandum of Understanding to enhance agricultural innovation, employment, and rural economic growth.
