Kwara Government Moves to Strengthen Transport Security, Compiles Data on Associations
The Kwara State Government is stepping up efforts to enhance security and safety within the transport sector by compiling comprehensive data on transport associations across the state. Commissioner for Transportation, Hon. Lafia Aliyu Korasabi, disclosed this, noting that the initiative, backed by the newly established Ministry of Transportation, aims to boost economic activities, improve safety, and create job opportunities. He also revealed that KWARTMA officers have been deployed to the Okolowo Highway to maintain order and prevent accidents, with plans to extend the operation to other parts of the state.
