Kwara Government Expands Free Tuberculosis Diagnosis and Treatment Services

The Kwara State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to combating tuberculosis by expanding free treatment and diagnostic services, including the introduction of free chest X-rays and specialized TB diagnostics for children. Speaking at the 2025 World tuberculosisDay commemoration in Ilorin, First Lady Prof. Olufolake AbdulRazaq, represented by Alhaji Abdulganiyu Opeloyeru, urged residents to report suspected tuberculosis cases early to prevent its spread while she encouraged community participation in awareness efforts. Additionally, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has approved free health insurance for tuberculosis patients and four of their family members.
