Kwara Government Empowers Students with Agricultural Skills for Economic Growth

The Kwara State Government is advancing efforts to equip students with agricultural skills and resources to promote self-sufficiency and economic growth. As part of the Kwara Next Generation Farmers program under the state’s Agricultural Transformation Plan, the initiative aims to integrate students into the agricultural value chain through practical training, cluster farming, and incentive-based learning. The Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr. Afees Abolore Alabi, and Senior Special Assistant on Student Affairs, Hon. Wasiu Onidugbe, discussed strategies to ensure students gain hands-on farming experience before graduation, fostering future entrepreneurs and strengthening food production.
