Kwara Fire Service Contains Blaze at Ghalib Chambers in Ilorin

The Kwara State Fire Service successfully contained a fire outbreak on April 2, 2025, at Ghalib Chambers on Unity Road, Ilorin. The fire, caused by a power surge affecting an air conditioner and some books, was restricted to a single office on the second floor of the two-storey building, which houses about 80 offices. Fire service officials responded promptly to the distress call, preventing further damage. The agency’s director, Prince Falade John, sympathized with the law firm and advised them to adopt fixed fire installations for better safety and prevention.
