Kwara Fire Service Contain Blaze Sparked by Seven-Year-Old in Ilorin

The Kwara State Fire Service swiftly contained a fire that broke out in a three-bedroom apartment behind Gospel Faith Church in Tiwadayo Community, Ilorin South, after a seven-year-old boy accidentally ignited a blaze with a matchstick on Saturday, April 26, 2025. According to spokesperson Hassan Hakeem Adekunle, firefighters quickly responded to the distress call and successfully prevented the fire from spreading beyond one bedroom as the Director of Kwara State Fire Service, Prince Falade John Olumuyiwa commended the firefighters’ quick action and urged the public to prioritize fire safety and keep matches away from children, reaffirming the service’s commitment to protecting lives and property.
