Kwara Fire Service Contain Blaze as Fire Guts Shops in Ilorin’s F-Division

A fire outbreak at a block of shops along F-Division in Tanke, Ilorin, was swiftly brought under control by the Kwara State Fire Service on Tuesday, 29th April 2025. The fire, which broke out at approximately 5:15 AM, engulfed 10 shops, with 4 shops severely affected and 6 others salvaged. According to reports, the blaze was triggered by a power surge, as confirmed by the security guard on duty who heard a loud noise followed by smoke and flames. Firefighters acted quickly to prevent the fire from spreading to neighboring buildings. The Director of the Kwara State Fire Service, Prince Falade John Olumuyiwa, has called on the public to be more safety-conscious to avoid similar incidents in the future.
