May 5, 2025

The Kwara State Government has awarded 24 new road projects in the first quarter of 2025, with six already completed, as part of efforts to boost infrastructure and connect more communities. Commissioner for Works, Engr. Abdulquawiy Olododo, revealed this during a Press Briefing in Ilorin, adding that 33 out of 46 ongoing projects from 2024 have been completed. He also announced the commencement of a 70-meter flagpole project, the tallest in West Africa, on Wahab Folawiyo Unity Road, describing it as a symbol of Kwara’s growing prominence. Olododo highlighted major federal road interventions and praised Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s administration for its commitment to rural-urban development.
