February 12, 2025

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has announced that the Kaduna Refinery and Petrochemicals Company (KDPRC) has achieved over 60% mechanical completion, with efforts ongoing to ensure its operation this year.

NNPCL Executive Vice President (Downstream), Isiyaku Abdullahi, revealed this during a workshop with Kannywood artistes in Abuja, emphasizing that the company is working diligently on both the refinery and its pipelines using in-house capacity.

He also highlighted the successful revamp of the Port Harcourt and Warri refineries under his supervision, assuring that the Port Harcourt Refinery would be delivered this year. Additionally, Abdullahi urged Nigerians to prepare for the Initial Public Offer (IPO) of NNPCL, encouraging them to invest in the oil and gas sector as the company moves towards public ownership.
