JAMB Sanctions Six CBT Centers for Examination Malpractice

Professor Ishaq Oloyede, the Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), has announced sanctions against six Computer-Based Test (CBT) centers for engaging in “blank registration,” malpractice linked to examination fraud.
Speaking in Ilorin after inspecting CBT centers in Kwara State, he revealed that the centers were suspended for a week after being identified early in the registration process. Instead of prolonging the suspension, which would have negatively impacted candidates, JAMB chose to blacklist the specific staff involved, permanently barring them from participating in any JAMB-related activities.
Oloyede emphasized the importance of integrity among CBT center staff and warned that anyone involved in examination malpractice would face serious consequences. He also commended JAMB staff, CBT centers, and security operatives for their efforts in maintaining examination standards. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reported that five CBT centers visited in Ilorin included Kwara College of Education, Al-Hikma University, Socrates College, University of Ilorin, and Matrix CBT Centre.
