IGP Launches Probe into Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan’s Assassination Allegations Against Akpabio

The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has ordered an investigation into allegations made by Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, who accused Senate President Godswill Akpabio and former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello of plotting to assassinate her. The police, through spokesperson ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, confirmed that a special team has been assigned to probe the matter as the senator had publicly made the allegations during a homecoming event, linking the alleged plot to a failed attempt to recall her from the Senate, and said she had previously reported the issue to the police.
