First Lady Oluremi Tinubu Reaffirms Commitment to Women and Girls’ Health, Education

First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has reaffirmed her commitment to advancing women’s and girls’ health and education in Nigeria, pledging continued support through her office and national programs.

Speaking at the 7th MERCK Foundation First Ladies Initiative Summit in Dubai, she praised the Foundation’s efforts in training medical professionals and supporting girl-child education across Africa and Asia. Highlighting her Renewed Hope Initiative, she emphasized the importance of empowering girls through education to build stronger societies. The summit brought together First Ladies from 13 countries to discuss strategies for improving healthcare, ending gender-based violence, and enhancing women’s roles in society, with renewed commitments to partnering with the MERCK Foundation on these goals.
