First Lady Oluremi Tinubu Declares Education Key to National Progress

The First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu has emphasized the vital importance of education in national development, stating that a well-educated population is essential for progress and prosperity. During a courtesy visit by Merck Foundation in Abuja, she reiterated the administration’s commitment to expanding scholarship opportunities through her Renewed Hope Initiative, which has already supported underprivileged students nationwide. She was also honored as the “More Than A Mother” Campaign Ambassador by the Merck Foundation in recognition of her advocacy for women’s empowerment and reproductive health as the foundation pledged deeper collaboration with her office to boost education, end child marriage, and enhance gender equality in Nigeria.
