FIFA Investigates Cabral for Alleged Racist Abuse in Club World Cup

FIFA has launched a disciplinary investigation into CF Pachuca’s Gustavo Cabral following allegations that he made a racist remark toward Real Madrid’s Antonio Rudiger during their Club World Cup match on June 22 in Charlotte.
The incident, which left Rudiger visibly upset, is under review by FIFA’s Disciplinary Committee, though Cabral has denied any racial intent, claiming his words were misinterpreted and that he had only called Rudiger a coward in Spanish. Real Madrid’s coach, Xabi Alonso, also affirmed support for Rudiger while awaiting the outcome of the investigation.
