Federal Inland Revenue Service Focused on Improving Taxpayer Relations, Says Executive Chairman
Dr. Zacch Adedeji, the Executive Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), highlighted the agency’s commitment to being more taxpayer-friendly through its ongoing transformation and innovation initiatives.
He made this statement during the Federal Inland Revenue Service Special Day at the recently concluded 2024 Lagos International Trade Fair (LITF), held at the Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos.
Represented by Mr. Isola Akingbade, the State Administrator for the Federal Inland Revenue Service on Lagos Island, Dr.Adedeji underscored the importance of the Federal Inland Revenue Service’s partnership with the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) in organizing the event as he noted that this collaboration was driven by the understanding that the business community and the Federal Inland Revenue Service are integral partners in driving economic progress.
In addition, Dr. Loveth Onanuga, the Director of Taxpayer Services at Federal Inland Revenue Service, spoke about the strategic importance of FIRS’ involvement in the Lagos International Trade Fair as she reiterated that the agency’s participation in the event reflects its recognition of the business community as a critical stakeholder in national development
The partnership with LCCI is part of FIRS’ ongoing efforts to strengthen its relationship with the private sector and contribute to the overall economic growth of Nigeria.
