Federal High Court Launches Insolvency Unit to Reform Business Restructuring

The Federal High Court of Nigeria has established an Insolvency Unit to modernize and streamline insolvency practice in the country. Created by Chief Judge Justice John Tsoho, the unit aims to align proceedings with global best practices and ensure compliance with key legislation, including the Companies and Allied Matters Act, and the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria Act among others as the initiative is expected to enhance efficiency offer standardized services, and fast-track insolvency proceedings to meet the evolving needs of Nigeria’s legal and financial landscape.
