Federal Government to Establish Anti-Riot Unit and Build Police Infrastructure in Jigawa

The Nigerian Federal Government is set to establish an Anti-Riot (Mobile Police) unit and construct 20 blocks of police barracks in Guri Local Government Area, Jigawa State. This was revealed by Senator Abdulhamid Ahmed during the Jigawa State Government Citizen Engagement Programme in Guri, where he highlighted the government’s efforts, in partnership with the state, to enhance security in the region. Senator Ahmed further announced that a modern stadium would be constructed in Guri as part of his constituency projects. He emphasized the importance of these initiatives in promoting lasting peace and development in Jigawa. The projects are aimed at strengthening security and supporting the local economy.
