Federal Government Targets Youth Unemployment with Labour Empowerment Program

President Bola Tinubu has launched the Labour Employment and Empowerment Program, a nationwide initiative aimed at creating 2.5 million sustainable jobs over two years. Represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, President Tinubu emphasized the urgency of equipping Nigeria’s youth for the evolving digital economy as the program seeks to transform the Ministry of Labour and Employment into a job creation hub and address youth unemployment by promoting marketable skills, supporting self-employment, and leveraging digital outsourcing potential.
