Federal Government Sets Up Committee to Standardise university Fee Payments
The Federal Government has inaugurated a high-level committee to streamline and standardise fee payment processes across Nigeria’s tertiary institutions. Education Minister Dr. Tunji Alausa disclosed this after a closed-door meeting with university vice-chancellors and the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) in Abuja. Alausa said the move will enhance transparency, improve disbursement timelines, and align university operations with NELFUND processes. The committee, which includes representatives from NELFUND, the Ministry of Education, and the NUC, has three weeks to submit its report.
