The Federal Government has inaugurated the Startup Consultative Forum through the National Information Technology Development Agency to drive digital innovation and empower citizens. The forum is expected to shape the future of Nigeria’s startup ecosystem by bringing together recognised startups, verified entrepreneurship support organisations, angel investors, and venture capitalists. Speaking at the inauguration, the Director-General of the agency, represented by the Acting Director of Regulation and Compliance, Emmanuel Edet, said the initiative demonstrates the government’s commitment to placing innovation at the heart of national development. He stated that the forum will identify regulatory barriers, improve investment pathways, and foster meaningful partnerships to enhance Nigeria’s digital economy.
