Federal Government Justifies Rivers State Emergency Rule, Cites Security Concerns

The Federal Government has justified President Bola Tinubu’s declaration of a state of emergency in Rivers State, describing it as a necessary step to prevent a total breakdown of governance.
Furthermore, the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi, emphasized that the decision was timely, as the prolonged political crisis in the state had led to constitutional breaches and security concerns.
