Federal Government Calls for Overhaul of Military Tactics Amid Rising Insecurity

The Federal Government has called for a major overhaul of military strategies to address Nigeria’s worsening insecurity, emphasizing that renewed tactics are more critical than a national security summit. This comes after the Senate proposed a two-day summit to discuss solutions to the increasing violence and killings in the country.
Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru, stressed the importance of strategy over summits, arguing that discussions alone are insufficient without solid operational plans, as violence continues across the country, with recent deadly attacks in Borno and Benue, further fueling concerns about the nation’s security.
