Federal Executive Council Approves Creation of Creative, Tourism Infrastructure Corporation

Hannatu Musawa, Nigeria’s Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism, and Creative Economy, announced that the Federal Executive Council (FEC) has approved the creation of the Creative and Tourism Infrastructure Corporation to develop critical infrastructure for Nigeria’s creative and tourism industries.
The initiative, which will operate under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) framework, aims to unlock the sectors’ economic potential, generate $100 billion, and create two million jobs for Nigerian youth.
The corporation will focus on key projects such as the Obudu Ranch, Yankari Game Reserve, Abuja Creative City, and the development of a Creative City at the Wole Soyinka Centre in Lagos. Additional plans include establishing a national museum in Abuja and upgrading the National Gallery, with a vision to make Nollywood a major global destination.
