‘Fake American Accent’: Gideon Okeke Criticizes Jim Iyke
Nollywood actor and former reality TV star, Gideon Okeke, has taken a swipe at his colleague, Jim Iyke, accusing him of lacking character and authenticity.
In a series of posts shared on his Instagram story, Okeke labeled Iyke as “talentless” and criticized him for adopting what he referred to as a “fake American accent.”
“I’ve met some really solid individuals. While I’ve also met some phoney-ass peeps like that Jim Ikye guy who wants to be a goldfish but has no sense of character,” Okeke wrote.
He further declared himself superior to Iyke, stating, “Small boy to me. Small boy. If only Jim Ikye could act! He would have been an actor. But sorry, he’s phoney-ass kneegar. Fake American accent. Fake everything. Small boy.”
The reason behind Okeke’s outburst remains unclear, as neither actor has publicly disclosed any recent altercation or rivalry.
Jim Iyke, known for his charismatic roles and outspoken personality, has yet to respond to the accusations.
Fans and industry watchers are divided over the remarks, with some expressing disappointment at the public display of animosity, while others await Iyke’s reaction.
This development adds to the list of celebrity feuds in the Nigerian film industry, sparking conversations about professionalism and respect among actors.
